SteinDiamonds.com is displaying this logo below throughout their website without permission and for a very long time. They are currently commiting a FRAUD as indicated by the BBB Alert above:
They are PURPOSELY Fooling and misleading potential customers! SHAMELESS FALSE ADVERTISING!~!~ Time for this to be escalated to the Federal Authorities.

Updated 103/2012

Note the NEW rating from the BBB.

SteinDiamonds.com now rated "F" by the Better Business Bureau. Why aren't they suing them too?

THIS broke the camels back and this camel is getting ready to spit a very interesting story.

Until NOW, I have done nothing to enhance the search at GOOGLE.
I reserve my right to change my position and hire an agency to spread the word.

This is what it says when you click the alert button Above:

"This company is not accredited with the Better Business Bureau. The company is misusing the Bureau's name and/or logo improperly and without permission.
The company has been notified to remove all references to the Better Business Bureau's name, logo, and/or initials.

Further PROOF of FRAUD!!! And these PRICKS at Stein are Suing ME??

They are FALSELY posting a "BBB logo" showing they are accrdited when the BBB in fact says they are not.

That is FRAUD! That is FALSE ADVERTISING! These folks need to be SHUT DOWN for MISLEADING INNOCENT PEOPLE!

That is FURTHER PROOF that Stein Diamonds is not to be TRUSTED and the testimony below from myself is 100% factual and true!!! That the testimony by others has a RING OF TRUTH!!!

Ha! TRUTH is an absolute defense and now even the BBB has been SCAMMED by Stein just like many others!! They went from a C- (Which really sucks to begin with) to an F in less than 30 DAYS!

This case will go to trial in the fall and with testimony like THIS from the BBB will only go to PROVE MY CASE and teach these PRICKS a lesson.

Hey Kia...Where is Jacob Stein? Wasn't he the one that had a legit business and you took it over and created this MESS??

You are NFG. You are HOODWINKING people RIGHT NOW! Time to APOLOGIZE and CLEAN UP YOUR ACT!

Folks no longer have to take my word or the word of ALL the other folks.

The BBB words is an INDICTMENT of SteinDiamonds.com business practices and how they FOOL and HOODWINK people for PROFIT. LIARS and worse.

GRADE "F" is the lowest Grade BBB gives and to be honest, never saw an "F" before on a credible business. Have you?

The lawsuit against me (which was YOUR CHOICE) will put you OUT OF BUSINESS and you won't be able to mislead folks EVER again!

It will all be PUBLIC TESTIMONY and will be reported in the news.

Let your attorney explain why you do what you do and convince a jury you are a legitimate businessman after this and all these people below calling YOU cheats and thieves!!!! Plus the BBB rating YOUR business as an F!

Good luck with that! I can't wait to see you in a courtroom!!! The more people that know, the better!

11/04/2011 (Friday) An ANTI-SEMETIC Rant Received and you will be SHOCKED when I post the actual email and WHO sent it. Details below!

11/08/2011 (Tuesday) SteinDiamonds.com SUES US to TRY and make us take this site down! Have you been a victim? Want to Testify against these COCKROACHES? Entire Lawsuit linked below!

Now here is MY story and that of MANY others:

Send the $160,000, then we'll tell you we don't have the item, then we'll tell you that if you want the item it will cost $50,000 more, then the money is returned? Gee they would be in a nice position sitting with your $160,000. Then you come out with this website to let the world know about bad actors on the Internet. Folks like this hurt anyone that uses the Internet because of a lack of trust. Do I trust the folks at Stein Diamonds? Read on and see.

And just a side note before I start. The BBB has a site called TRUSTLINK.ORG in which you can comment on businesses. They have removed ALL negative comments about Stein. Links below are gone. My comments are gone. Be VERY careful if you don't want to lose your $$$$. TrustLinkSucks.com will be coming to the web this summer! Don't be fooled by the BBB and Trustlink. They protect Shady BUSINESSES NOT YOU! Do this in RUSSIA not the USA! Nothing worse than a site that violates the trust when they are the trusted party. (See Above, I guess the BBB figured it out. BRAVO!!!!)

I have done enough business with jewelers around the world to know that TRUST is the basis for all of our business. Stein Diamonds CAN NOT be trusted and my mission is to tell folks far and wide. After I decribe my own problem I searched and found out I am not alone. I am creating this site so most of the evidence will be in one place for law enforcement, FTC and the Attorney General of California to investigate. I don't have the patience to explain to 20 people and 20 agencies. So I will point them to this site and will keep adding data until all info and evidence is here. I will keep it 100% factual but it will be hard to hide my anger. I get angered when folks fool me or try and screw me or don't hold up their end of the deal. Especially when it is $160,000 and you are supposedly dealing with a reputable company.

So this is my story. I will start blogging about it this next week and MILLIONS will be exposed to their business ethics. I am asking Google to black list Stein Diamonds site as they used Google to fool their customers with false advertising and I believe the facts prove that they knew exactly what they were doing. This was no honest mistake. This was calculated imo and the FACTS prove it. The timing proves it. That's what makes this criminal. Selling something you don't have and then bumping the price by $50,000 to a whopping $210,000 all the while hoping you just wire the funds. A 33% increase!! Then they got you. Well, not so fast. Here is a detailed account of how things unfolded. You will see comments of others that call them "THIEVES" and "CHEATS". So Stein Diamonds has a history as you will read other people's stories here as well. I just think they are everything they are being called. They can't understand my outrage. Well, this is a wake up call.

If SteinDiamonds.com of Los Angeles, CA screws me, will they screw you?? Check out as we build this site from scratch with the only reason to inform others about how some folks conduct business. If this is okay with you, then I am the bad buy. I am NFG. If not read this amazing story.

This is how they treat a customer that was buying a $160,000 watch for his birthday. Yes, I know I am crazy for buying something like that but if they treat me like this, it makes you think how they treat others. Plus, it's my money. I earned it and I wanted to treat myself to something very special for a special milestone.

KIA or whatever your name is, don't tell your customers to "Go f**k yourself" when it is YOU that are not honorable. I read multiple complaints about your company tonight. "THIEVES" and "CHEATS" some say. Some say worse. I will link to it below. You advertised this item with the price right on Google. Google should ban SteinDiamonds.com forever for false advertising.

I am going to tell a detailed story and my opinion about what I believe is an unethical Jeweler. A unethical jeweler that deals in high end diamonds and watches. Their clientele will not like to hear what I have to say. Worse than just bait and switch. Who would trust a company that tells their customer to "Go f*** yourself" because SteinDiamonds.com refuse to fulfil the order? What exactly did I do wrong to deserve such treament? You try and screw me and you get angry?? Fine you win round one, but I will win every round after that. Every potential customer will be reading this review. Probably only 5%-10% will listen. Wonder how much business that represents? Year, after year, after year. But that is the price you pay when you are unethical at BEST!

The TRUTH is an absolute defense and you can be the judge if they tried to fool me and screw me. If they had criminal intent. If they could ever be trusted again. The only thing I did wrong was do a Google search for a specific watch I wanted. The price was advertised on Google and I went and bought it, or so I thought.

Now this is not a run of the mill sale. This is a sale for $160,000 Patek Philippe watch. They sent me the wire instructions and then waited 2 full business days and part of a Sunday to contact me. Contact me that the $160,000 watch I bought was now $210,000. They waited until 4:57PM Tuesday to notify me. That would give me 2 days to have wired the money and.........then they would be in control and call all the shots. It is my belief that if this was legit they would have contacted me immediately on Sunday the 2nd of May. Instead they waited enough time that imo they were hoping the transfer was made and too late to stop. They figured wrong. Especially when on their site they said they have communications from 5AM! Did they answer any other emails at that time? Why not answer one for $160,000 unless you just wanted to delay and have the funds wired? That is why it is imo that I believe 100% that they are just false advertisers that got caught and after the comments by others, well then you decide. I would not trust them to take out my garbage. Michelle could have answered the email I sent on Sunday. She chose not to. She could have answered the email anytime on Monday. She chose not to answer on Monday. She could have answered any time during business hours on Tuesday. Michelle chose to wait until the banks were closed on Tuesday to contact me for the FIRST time. That would have given me 2 full days to make the wire and the timing WREAKS of a premeditated motive.

Here are their hours. I thought it a bit fishy that they did not respond qucikly for a $160,000 sale other than instructions to send the $$$$. No contact Sunday. So Monday I waited and waited and no contact. Then all day Tuesday. Until nearly 5PM. Telling me their litney of excuses and stories. I really don't care about their nonsense at this point. They should have called much earlier. Don't you think you would with a $160,000 customer? Maybe to say hello, thank you for the order, just respond to your question? NOTHING!!! Maybe even "Don't send the funds until we locate the watch" or some other LEGIT reaction?? That leads me to believe they wanted the funds first so they would have me in a tricky position at best when they tried to bump me $50,000 MORE. Well they were WRONG!!! They pulled it on the wrong guy at the wrong time. So here we are. This is my testimonial.

"Customer Service available:
Monday-Friday 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM Pacific Time
Saturday-Sunday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time"

So SteinDiamonds.com would have taken the $160,000 on false pretense and then how long would it have been to get those $$$ back? IF?? Especially a guy that will tell his $160,000 customer to "Go f*** yourself" after a pretty nasty and filthy rant by Kia for something they say they did wrong. He said they had a lot of complaints from people and they were fixing it. Wonder how many wired them the $$$????

So now my job is to tell my 3 million monthly visitors this incredible story. I will have a video and I have some very strong evidence. You decide. But until then, imo, don't trust Stein Diamonds in Los Angeles. They are free to come and tell their side. But next Monday, you will be hearing my side and it will go viral. You can then call Michelle Garami and tell them what you think.

Now I am on a crusade to see if anyone else has had a similar experience with these less than ethical people so we can shine a light on their business practice. I have notes, screenshots, time stamps. I am not a guy that likes to get screwed. Especally when I believe it was premeditated. Planned. A common business practice for Stein Diamonds and that is why they SUCK!

This is the screen shot of what I bought. Notice the price. It stayed like that until Tuesday May 4th 2010. Just a few hours before this site went live.

Then 2 days later at the close of business, they change their page and call me up looking for another $50,000!!!!!!! See screen shot below

And then just a few days later after I went on a Watch forum to discuss this issue. This is what I found
They Raised the price AGAIN $8900 just HOURS AFTER this poster contacted them:

Here is the screenshot I took.

Here is what someone had to say on the BBB site:

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM STEIN DIAMONDS..... Martin Garami - CEO at Stein Diamonds told me when I bought a new diamond from him 3 years ago that the diamond could be traded up anytime for the full value. This is a lie.... My wife wanted to trade up the diamond for a larger diamond and when I called he told me our diamond did not qualify for a trade up. He said it did not qualify because he had too many diamonds like ours in stock. What does his stock have to do with their trade up policy? BEWARE..... Stein Diamonds do not stand behind what they say. I am very unsatisfied with this business, I feel they cheated my wife and I.

Here is another Happy Camper:

THIEVES
by PAUL HENRICKSON at Citysearch

These people are thievs and frauds who with the limited effort of the BBB and the prejudicial rules of the Californria Court System manage to defraud EU cusomers. In my case informing me of the wrong cost figure, doubling my banking charges, send $3,000 worth of diamonds in what they called "an open post card" uninsured and then blaming the postal authorities in Malta for theft. All this compounding the effect of having lost 1/2 of my annual income.

Pros: THERE HAVE BEEN NONE
Cons: THEY LIE AND THEY STEAL

http://losangeles.citysearch.com/review/46309575

And Another!

NEVER AGAIN ! beware!
by babyyolk at Citysearch

sold me a watch that had scratches on it already. claims that it was caused by me, when I only tried the watch (cartier) on once. Cartier watches do not scratch from trying them on. Would not allow us to return the item and hung up the phone on us several times. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and POOR PRODUCT. BEWARE before you spent $$$ there. They are not even an authorized Cartier dealer, I was notified by Cartier themselves.

Cons: Lost $$$

http://losangeles.citysearch.com/review/46309575

Now here are some Happy Campers from eBay where they only have a 96% positive feeback. Anything under 99% SUCKS!

Customer #1 "Very BAD communication.Seller is NOT serious..."

Customer #2 "sent WRONG item, said WILL refund return shipping then REFUSED, called ebay/pypl"

Customer #3 ""BUY IT NOW"??Seller notified Me one week after purchase , item was out of stock" (Sound Familiar?????)

Another guy
"I bought an omega watch from steindiamonds.com in September. I got the watch on time and I liked it. However I didn't get the certificate of anthenticity(or proof of purchase from omega manufacturer),which is promised from the website. I contacted them but didn't get a good answer. I ordered another omega watch at amazon.com and have a better experience."

More to COME! It seems they had a good reputation until this year and then all these complaints. I guess if the economy is bad it affects your judgement.

I order a diamond from them and i cancelled the order before it been sent, but I already wired the money to them. It's been a little 2 weeks, Michelle told me they've sent me a check 2 weeks ago and I never got it. She then said she sent another check about 5 days ago, and I still any check in the mail. I'm kinda scared they won't send out the refund, since it's a direct deposit because they have bank of America like me. It's been weeks waiting for it and I want to write a review here so that they can process the refund faster. Since u r a customer with them, do you think they would keep my money and not refund it because I direct deposit to them for payment??? Thanks!

Check back often as we will be adding content all day long as the investigation into their practices continue. These comments I have assembled from others has a VERY STRONG ring of truth to them. I have much better things to do than this CRAP, but when you try and get my funds and then try and SHAKE ME DOWN for another $50,000, well you get what you deserve and bad decisions are costly. This one will cost you many times the lousy $50k. You screwed a guy with a worldwide megaphone and a lot of great friends. The latest post above ANSWERS the question what would have happened if I sent them my $160,000. PRETTY DAMN DISGUSTING!! These folks need to be held accountable. A Formal BBB complaint was filed on May 16th.

Steve Forbes of Forbes.com, Ben Stein, Mark Cuban, Rick Sanchez CNN Anchor, . Jim McCann 1-800Flowers, Barbara Corcoran of NBC Today Show. Let me find some others to share this with and see what they think.

Rick and Howard on the ends. The Castello Brothers next to Rick own PalmSprings.com and put on
the industry tradeshow for Geo doaminers that own city names. Like LA.com, LosAngeles.com, every suburb in LA and throughout the world.
Mike Berkens next to Howard on the left owns 75,000 domain names and has enough traffic to fill
Yankee Stadium 10X a day every day of the year.

Combined, the folks that come to our tradeshows including Google and Yahoo contol the majority of Traffic on the Internet.

When I say this will go viral, no threat, an absolue promise. Expect some investigative reporter showing up on your doorstep.

Now I get to return the sentiment much stonger than a foul mouthed verbal assault. In front of the entire world. You folks are NOT TO BE TRUSTED.

See, I make my living online and merchants that screw their customers are what gives the net a bad rap. So it is up to us to EXPOSE those that are unethical so folks can have confidence when they buy online. Google also has a responsibiity to the Net.

So maybe I am crazy, but there are comments from 5 others I don't know and have never met, one with a very similar story. You folks are SLIME and for a few grand you bought a problem that you will NEVER be able to contain once I go public. The adjectives used to describe SteinDiamonds.com are certainly none most ethical folks would want to be associated with. THIEVES, LIE, STEAL, UNSATISFIED, CHEATED, FRAUDS, BEWARE, TERRIBLE, POOR, BAD. None of those words came from me!!! It is the adjectives OTHERS used to describe SteinDiamonds.com that I have linked to above. I rest my case! Doesn't seem to bother you guys at all. Very Telling!

I really hope you come to your senses. But I have no hope of that actually happening.
The court of PUBLIC OPINION will decide your fate. Not me, not you. Knowing what I know of your "Operation", I would say the folks above speak the truth as I have had first hand experience with your "CUSTOMER SERVICE"

I will continue to add info as I find it. As folks contact me. As I contact them. ALL 100% factual and with references. Plus some anger and my HONEST OPINION.

I have Reached out to PAUL HENRICKSON, whose statement is above and hope to include a YouTube video so he can express his experience. And so on. The post of May 16th waiting for their money to be returned after they pulled a similar scam on them. Bought the item, sent the money, does not have the item, 2 weeks later has yet to return the money.

Let the chips fall where they may. I just want to make sure you NEVER have the opportunity to do this to anyone EVER again. Wait until the links start coming in. I am going to make SteinDiamonds.com FAMOUS!! (Infamous actually) Don't you feel ridiculously stupid for trying to pull this nonsene? Probably not. Thieves and frauds that lie and cheat and have so many unsatisfied customers telling others to beware of terrible and poor service don't have values like the rest of us. These are the words to describe SteinDiamonds.com BEFORE our paths crossed. I should have done my homework earlier. Guess I beleived all that nonsense you had written on your site. Nonsense and lies. It does not match my experince. My very bad experience. I will move on, but this site will be a reference and testimony for your company for eternity and 2 days after.

I am sorry to report that Trustlink.org has REMOVED ALL NEGATIVE COMMENTS about SteinDiamonds.com. This is SHAMEFUL and makes their site that is part of the BBB absolutely WORTHLESS!!
I HATE organizations that are set up for information and feedback and then COVER that feedback up!

I also had a bad experience with Stein diamond- it's almost as if they list too good to be true prices and then try to bait and switch you- happened to me when trying to buy a diamond- I had a very bad feeling about all of this and decided to go with someone else.

My story with this company.

I bought a loose diamond through their website on a Sat morning and paid for it right away. Wednesday came and no word from them. I called them and they said it was on its way to their place. No word on Thursday. Called again on Friday and they told me that it was no longer available...(thanks for waiting a week to tell me this). They sent me an email saying they were willing to upgrade the stone for me for free to a .67 G vs2 (from my original .64 G SI2). This new stone didn't have a certificate so I declined and we agreed on a different stone he had found on his database...but I had to pay 105 dollars extra. I agreed and gave him my credit card #. Monday came and no word from them so I called and they said that it was shipping out to me that day. Before hanging up i asked the gal to tell me the specs on the diamond just to make sure it was the right one and when she did it wasn't the one we agreed on....so I just told them to refund me my money and bought one from a different place. Thanks for wasting 1.5 weeks of my time stein diamonds

ps....very shady company in my experiance...

Received February 12, 2011 sak19474@aol.com

Hello,

My name is JoAnn, I am 63 years old and have collected gems for many years.

I live alone with my Shih Tzu (who was recently diagnosed with Liver Cancer)  ... I am on Disability due to MS, and panicked over Vet bills, thus, I made a huge mistake and called Stein Diamonds.
I sent Stein Diamonds a Parcel of 20 Precious gems, after talking with Lisa to make sure they would be able to make me an offer on them. One of the gems is a 5 3/4ct Natural Colombian Emerald from the Muzo mine in Colombia.  (This is just one example of the quality of gems I was STUPID enough to send.

Bobby @ Steins held my gems for 7 days and gave me one story after another.  Fitst, my gems were fake, but he COULD GIVE ME BOTTOM DOLLAR FOR ZIRCON PRICE.  I hit the roof and be backtracked asking for more time.  He stated he may not have understood him Gemologist.  I said ok., (my mistake!!!)  Next day he called asking for more time.  Couple days later after I threatened Legal litigation, he called telling me all my gems were REAL, BUT HE DID NOT HAVE AN OUTLET FOR THEM AND WOULD SEND THEM BACK TODAY.

This AM. I sent Bobby a nasty email telling him not to contact me via phone ... just email me a tracking #, we had nothing more to discuss.  Also told him if this was not done, I would take Legal action against him and put ad add in the local paper against their Business.  Yes, I should not have done this.  For one, I do not have the funding to do this, and I made Bobby very angry.  But I am angry as heck too.  He is sitting on about $80,000 worth of my gems which I need to sell in order to take care of my pet.

It's not just my love dog that I decided to do this crazy thing for.  These gems were to go for my Children when I pass away.  I only live on $844 SSD a Month.  Believe me, this is hard to do.

The transmission went out on my car this Month too.  When it rains, it pours.  I know, we all have problems.  Yet, I sure did not need mine compounded by Stein Diamonds!!!

I was so honest with them and upfront.  Yes, my email was nasty.  I was wrong by being so ugly.  I am only human.  I feel 7 days of being jerked around when I am under so much pressure is enough!!!

I am from the "Old School" and have been tought a person is only as good as their word!  I sincerely believe this and believed what Lisa told me in the beginning.  I feel so very stupid.

If Bobby had no outlet for Colored gems, why did Lisa tell me to send them to begin with?  I am totally confused.

Sir, if you would not mind talking with me, I am going to entrust you with my home phone #.  360-XXX-XXXX.  You may call me collect if you wish.  I honestly do not know what to do, or how to proceed.  If you have any suggestions, I would be ever so grateful for any suggestions you may have.

Thank you for taking the time out of your schedule to read this email.  I hope it makes sense.  I'm rather upset.

Warmly,
JoAnn

The EVIDENCE about the SHENANIGANS of STEINDIAMINDS.COM keep being verified by independent parties. The PUBLIC has a right to this information in advance of making a purchase from these folks when their own customers use words like the following to describe them and I can testify that they are being way too kind! THIEVES, LIE, STEAL, UNSATISFIED, CHEATED, FRAUDS, BEWARE, TERRIBLE, POOR, BAD and now VERY SHADY!

Keep them coming. There is power in numbers. Are we all lying???? None of these people are known to me. Our paths have never crossed. We just have one thing in common. A Very Bad Experience with SteinDiamonds.com
So bad we would all go public with our unconnected stories about these guys.

Stein Diamonds, you opened this can of worms. Glad you are not holding my $160k tonight. I can sleep better. But how unfortunate to blow a customer like me away. My wife liked your diamond inventory, but that was all smoke as well now that we know how you operate. My only crime was clicking your ad link on Google, placing the item in my cart and checking out. What shoud have been a AAA customer turned into this. Magic! You should get some type of award for turning gold into sh*t. Maybe teach a college course. Learn to do the right thing in life. It is my testimony and that of several others that should make anyone that does the reseach on your business practices make an about face and find a reputable company to do business with. SteinDiamonds.com is FAR from a reputable company IMHO and based on my treatment and that of others above they likely have other unsatisfied people that will find their way here and I would be more than happy to post their experience. BUYER BEWARE!!! If you deal with Stein Diamonds .com you are dealing with their reputation and they EARNED IT!!

Richard,
I just wanted to take the time to say I read your listing about Stein Diamonds and how fake they are.
You have somebody that only makes 800 a month on State Disability and yet is going to send diamonds worth 90k across country and hope that they get paid. All your stories are complete b.s and staged. You are full of it and I hope all else don't buy your story either. Get a life..  .

Now you readers have the same info I have. I don't know who wrote this hateful stuff and I admit I did not react well. But I take it for face value and hate was met head on and only the light of day will bring this venom to the surface.

Everything after here has been ADDED since 11/08/2011. That was the day Stein Diamonds SUED US to TRY and make us take this site down! Suing for Slander just as "John Boatman" mentions in his emails. Coincidence???? I get that rant on a Friday Night and get served te following Tuesday.

Yes, you read that right, These MORONS have decided to sue us for sharing our experience and YOUR experience. If you would like to testify at the trial of these ASSHOLES, please contact me! Below is the link to the actual Lawsuit.

Stein Diamonds has decided to SUE US for having this site up and informing folks of their activities.
So now you can add SUING THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS (or would be customers) to the list.

Bait and Switch on purchase of loose diamond
by Mike Bedessem at Citysearch

I purchased a loose diamond on the internet from Stein Diamonds. They sold and provided paperwork for a diamond with color E, clarity VVS1 and 1.0 caret in size. They sent me a diamond with color H, clarity VS1 and 1.09 carets in size. When asked about the difference in color Stein said it was a difference in lab standards - BS not E to H. They hold themselves out to be professionals. The low price was just a bait and switch tatic.

UNETHICAL!!
by JLinden at Citysearch

Would give negative stars if possible. We visited the LA store and were told that the diamond was F color with SI1 clarity. It came with an EGL USA certificate. Our appraiser graded it as H, I2. He also said the measurements of the diamond did not match up with that of the certificate. Liars. Liars. Liars. Do not trust Stein Diamonds.

why do they habe a problem telling people the truth?
by ChrisGeppert at Citysearch

my wife is a well established plastic surgeon and I have a business with 70+ employees and we wonder why people like STEIN DIAMONDS CANNOT JUST TELL THEIR CLIENTS THE SIMPLE TRUTH LIKE WE DO IN OUR BUSINESSES!!! In my wife and my business that always worked and our clients come back even if there was problems with the transaction. WITH STEIN DIAMONDS WE WILL FOR SURE NEVER COME BACK, the day we ordered they take thousands of dollars from our credit card within hours and every time we call now for weeks we hear other stories. The last one was that they had our watch stolen from the mail room!!!! The week before it was supposedly shipped but we never received a shipping confirmation. We CANCELLED THE ORDER BUT HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED THE MONEY BACK AND THE WATCH IS NOT EVEN SHIPPED AND THE ORDER IS CANCELLED. Now we have all the work to dispute with the credit card and try to get thousands of dollars back that we already paid to the credit card. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD ON THE INTERNET. FOR US TO TAKE THE TIME TO WRITE THIS REPORT MEANS WE REALLY WANT TO WARN CONSUMERS. WE UNDERSTAND DELAYS AND THINGS NOT GOING PERFECT BUT THIS IS LIES AND FRAUD. STAY AWAY FROM STEIN DIAMONDS.

Latest is the accusation that they sold a FAKE ROLEX:

"I just recently purchased a Rolex Date just for my wife this Christmas 2011. I've been waiting to buy her one for the last 16 years of our wonderful marriage.2011 was a good year for me. I'm very blessed to say it, and really appreciate it. I've had a Rolex for several years and we had to take it down to a certified Rolex dealer, the day after Christmas to have it sent back to Rolex for some work. My wife needed hers altered just a bit. When the watchmaker informed me that it was not an original..MY JAW dropped with embarrassment and humiliation right in front of my wife and daughter. I've never felt so low in my life. I surly hope that Stein Diamonds makes it right with refunding my money. I know that I made it right for them as a trusted customer this holiday season with some hard earned cash!"

Hi Rick!

So happy we found you online. We are in the same situation with Stein Diamonds
as most of the other people who provided bad reviews. We wire transferred them
$4500 for a watch on Jan.12 2012. They told us it would take 7-10 business days
for the watch to be delivered, and that they would send us the tracking number.
After 3 weeks of waiting and periodically contacting them about our order, they
told us that a terrible thing happened and that the box came to them without a
watch. Chelsea, the girl who took our order told us that she is canceling our
order and that she is requesting a refund check to be sent to us. Yesterday,
after contacting them for the 5th time about the check, they told us the check
was send on Feb. 14. We never received anything from them. Sounds familiar
right. I saw the same story among other people reviewing them. What should be
done in this situation? Do you have any info on how it is possible to get our
money back?

Thanks a lot.

Kristina & Alex

So either myself and everyone here are a bunch of liars or Stein Diamonds is guilty of what each has posted.
I have never met or known any of these folks. Just assembled their comments from around the web and my personal email.

It seems some sites have been "Scrubbed" of the negative info of this company. From what I see, that may even include the Better Business Bureau with 24 compalints but no details appear online anymore.
Maybe somebody from there will contact us and clarify.

IMO these folks are NFG and some of the worst players I have EVER seen on the Internet.

So we did a little poking around and see Stein is no longer selling on ebay or perhaps have changed their identity??? I don't know.
What I do know is that they had the following 7 or 8 complaints in LESS THAN 30 days prior on their last 15 ebay transactions!!!
These were not small transactions. They ranged from $2200 sales to $7000 sales

"My 2 cents - 'stay away from steindiamond'. I had very bad experience with them. I puchased a rolex from them in their store in downtown LA and the moment I walked out of the store started seeing fog inside the crystal. It was late in the day and they closed by the time I went back As strange as it may sound. I came back to my hotel and called them the next day morning and they refuse to help in any way. Instead they accused me of taking it to pool or something which I never did. Believe me I dont take my rolex even in the bathroom. Bottomline- I had to get it cleaned from and AD and paid $300 for it. Total rip off...Steindiamonds are crooks and they are only interested in your money. Dont believe a word about their warranty. Here are my 2 cents..take it or leave it. I know they have sold a lot of watches on ebay but my experience was terrible. I eventually sold the watch after the service clean up."

(just part of this email)

Good Morning Rick, ;-)

Just read your email. Your email is no intrusion. I am very happy to her from you. Often wondered why I did not hear from you when I sent my first email to you. I realize you are busy and can not respond to everyone.
Would love to testify for you,

I'll do a PC search and see if I have any emails from stein that might help you with your case. If so, I will be happy to forward them to you.

Just read the post from "John Boatman!" This person is a total ASS and not very intelligent if he was referring to my post. I assume he was, as I am the only one of your page on Disability. John needs to learn to READ if he is going to try and sell diamonds!
1. I've collected precious Gems for over 30 years
2. I sent Stein 20 Precious Gems to sell in order to obtain funding to care for me dog, who had Liver Cancer and to purchase a Transmission for my car.
3. I make over 800 a month, not much more, but more than 800.
4. I was NOT PURCHASING A DIAMOND.
5. I was trying to sell part of my collection for financial purposes.
5. If John was referencing me, he is down right ignorant -- severely lacking knowledge! No excuse for his insulting insinuations. All he had to do was READ!!! Perhaps he actually can't! I don't know the man personally, will let his posts speak for himself. From his verbiage, he appears to be an ignorant dolt!
6. Just because someone is on disability, does not mean one can't have something of value.
7. Instead of attacking people on disability, John should thank God for his good health, and YOU for putting a site up that tells the TRUTH about Stein Diamonds.

Don't know if I told you what it took to get me Gems back. I finally filed a Grand Theft charge over the Internet with the Police Department in the area where Stein is located. When I called Stein; told them to expect a visit from the local Police and why, my Gems were returned within 3 days. AMAZING isn't it? The main people I spoke with were Bobby and Lisa. Very unethical people!

Please keep me advised as to what is going on with Stein Diamonds.

Warmly yours,

JoAnn

CathrineM wrote on July 13th: ***Buyer Beware*** Stein Diamonds took $4000.00 from me***Unethical practices***
One star is too much!!!I ordered a $4000.00 Omega watch. Stein Diamonds took my money and order. I have no watch and it is six months later. This is a sample of what you hear: it's on back order, my retailer is on vacation, give me two more weeks, call back and I will talk to the owner, it is always some excuse. Stein Diamonds never told me up front they did not have the watch I ordered. Stein Diamonds has NOT refunded my $4000.00 although they said they would. Lie after lie is told. My credit card company gave me 90 days to file a written report so you can have it charged back. (I never knew that, as I have never had any problems) This is where Stein Diamonds dangles the carrot of excuses. It is way past the 90 days and I have nothing I can do with my card company. Stein Diamonds are cheats whom take your money with very unethical practices. I would give ZERO stars if it were possible! Please be aware before you do Internet business with Stein Diamonds.

I rest my case. If you get screwed by Stein after reading all this......YOU DESERVE IT!

Some of my words may be in bad taste. There is no law against that. However their are many laws regarding these business practices.

and for $160,000 and then $210,000........I get to VENT!
